36?MA COM'E' POSSIBILE? 36??? HOW COULD THAT HAPPEN?

come state?
Oggi divento maggiorenne per la seconda volta, come dice una mia amica....
E non me ne capacito!! Ma 36 anni??? 20 anni avrei detto che a 36 anni si è vecchi... oggi mi sento una ragazzina....certo, una ragazzina con gli acciacchi di una 90enne, ma questa è un'altra storia....:D
Niente grandi festeggiamenti oggi:  però sto un pochino meglio... talvolta i dolori tornano e sono piuttosto forti.. e per ora non mi posso ancora alzare, neanche con il tutore ( che non riesco a mettere perché il ginocchio è troppo gonfio)... ma cerco di essere paziente... passerà!!!!!
Intanto rispondo ai messaggi di auguri che mi scaldano il cuore!!!!
E vorrei festeggiare con voi offrendovi virtualmente una cosetta creata per Natale...

Sono sempre alla ricerca di spunti creativi per fare dei regali agli ometti.. ma alla fine mi butto sempre su qualcosa di mangereccio....

how are you?
I'm turning 18 today... for the second time in my life as a friend loves to say...
I can't believe I am 36... 20 years ago my definition for a  36 year old would have been... AGED... now.. I feel like a teen! Ok, a teenager with lots of medications to take, but that is a Whole other story!!!
No big celebrations today....But I do feel a bit better... the pain sometimes comes back with a certain intensity and I can't walk yet... tried to wear my brace today but I can't just yet... knee is still too swollen to wear that.. . I just have to be patient I guess....
In the meantime... I'm getting back to all of the birthday wishes.. it is really heart warming!
I would love to share something good with you to celebrate...some recipes I made around xmas...

I'm always seeking for some crafty idea for men.. but I usually end up with something eatable... that is what they appreciate the most I'd say!

un'idea veloce veloce presa da internet....

a really quick and easy idea from the net

ho usato dell'uvetta bianca, fatta rinvenire in sciroppo di zucchero e poi invasata e ricoperta di rum, zucchero e cannella....

I used some white raisins, soaked in sugar syrup, canned it with bworn sugar and cinnamon

tutto qui... niente di più complicato!

and that is is, nothing more complicated!

si lascia riposare per almeno un mesetto e poi si decorano i vasetti e si regalano!

you let them sit for at least a month then you can decorate the lids and give them away!

è stata anche l'occasione giusta per usare questo spago preso all'Ikea...delizioso, non trovate?

it was a great chance to use the twine I got at Ikea, right?

e ora siamo pronti per prensare al regalo mangereccio del prossimo anno! ho già in mente un paio di idee....

SERVE UN POST IT? NEED A NOTE?

come va?Io vado avanti giorno per giorno....
Da quando sono a casa va decisamente molto meglio... certo, ho ancora delle fasi di dolore molto intenso che mi straziano un po'.. ma nulla che due aulin non possano abbattere in 15 minuti...e meno male che funziona!!!! hee hee
Le giornate scorrono lente: sono sempre sul divano...qualche giretto sul web, un po' di punto croce...tanta tv... e tante dormite: crollo come se avessi scalato l'Everest!!! Va beh.....
Per fortuna avevo fatto scorta di creazioni, e foto, da mostrarvi in questo periodo.... :)
 

Oggi vi faccio vedere un lavoretto a metà tra cartonaggio e scrap....

ho trovato questo magnifico tutorial di Manou e, come potrete ben capire...DOVEVO assolutamente realizzarne uno....

E il compleanno di un'amica era assolutamente l'occasione perfetta!

how are you?I am taking it by the day...
It's going way much better ever since I've come back home... sure, I still have some pretty bad pain issues...nothing 2 of my fave painkillers can't calm in 15 minutes....thanksfully that still works!!
The days go by pretty slowly: I'm still on my couch:  I surf a lot on the net, watch a lot of tv, cross stitch a bit... and sleep a lot: I fall asleep as If I had climbed the Everest mountain!!! oh well..
Thanksfully, I had in store quite a few crafty things to show and that I had already taken pictures of....so I can still show you something even now...
 

Today I'm showing you something halfway from cartonnage to scrapbooking... I found this adorable tutorial on Manou's blog so you see, I just HAD to make one... and a friend's birthday was the perfect excuse!

SONO TORNATA!- I'M BACK

Sono tornata!!!

Mi hanno dimessa mercoledì... grazie a tutti per i commenti carinissimi che avete lasciato al post precedente!

Allora... l'intervento è andato bene... ora ho due belle viti nel ginocchio... Ho patito un gran male, davvero insopportabile... ed una nausea tremenda dovuta all'anestesia...

IN realtà credo che il problema principale sia che gli antidolorifici che mi hanno dato in ospedale non facevano effetto... solo l'aulin mi aiuta... ma non c'è stato verso di farselo dare... :(

Cmq... due giorni tremendi in ospedale, senza dormire, senza mangiare ( troppa nausea) e con la flebo costantemente attaccata per  placare il dolore...

Mercoledì mi mandano a casa, e, se avessi potuto, avrei fatto la danza della felicità!

Ora sono sul mio divano.....

con la mia infermiera personale...

I'm back!!!

I was dismissed on Wednesday....

So... surgery was alright: I am now a proud possessor of 2 screws in my knee ....

I suffered pretty bad pain, actually...at times it was pretty unbearable...

And I had nausea too.. probably due to anesthesia...thing is the medications I was given there did not give me any relief for the pain I was feeling...

Now that I'm home I am taking my usual painkiller and it is going better...

So..after two terrible days at the hospital, without getting any sleep and without eating anything ( too sick for food)... I was sent home... would have done the happy dance if I just could....

Now I'm on my couch with my  lovely nurse

She does not leave me alone and she tries to cure my knee in her own personal way

La convalescenza è tosta.. ma passerà anche questa.....

oggi, per non far mancare una creazione a questo post...

avevo partecipato al sal Minivilla di IULIA... finito anche quello per tempo ma non sapevo come confezionarlo, alla fine ho optato per una semplice corniche

I joined Iulia's minivilla Sal, finished it by the due time but couldn't find a way to keep it.... until I thought I could just frame it

a simple black Ikea frame...that fits exactly the stitchery..... I guess that was meant to be!

Ebbene sì, è arrivato il momento: domani porto il mio ginocchio in ospedale per una piccola revisione!Alla fine mi ricoverno il mattino e mi operano il giorno stesso...spero vivamente di essere di nuovo a casa per mercoledì!

Ho un pochino di ansia.. ma prevale la voglia di iniziare a risolvere questa situazione che va avanti da troppo!

Ho  preparato tutto....

borsa, stampelle... l'immancabile cellulare...

E dove lo metto il cellulare?? non avrò grandi tasche a disposizione, niente borsetta.... e allora? NON possiedo un porta cellulare??? ma come???

me lo sono dovuta proprio fare...

Looks like tomorrow I am taking my knee to the hospital to be fixed once for all....

I will be hospitalized tomorrow morning and have surgery right away...and I should be back home within wednesday...

I am a bit worried...but what actually prevails is a huge expectation for this situation to be solved at last!

I got everything ready...

bag, crutches  and my cell phone...

yeah, where will I keep it? won't have many pockets, no bag to carry along.... I don't have a cell case.. how can that happen???

I just had to make one!

I sewed a lot these days..and this was just especially for me...

anche se devo dire che, avendo disegnato io il modellino, ho faticato proprio tanto a cucirlo...

perchè l'ho pensato come se fosse una borsa... quindi cucire l'interno con l'esterno è stato un incubo

I must say, though, that, considering I created the pattern, it gave me  a really hard time when it came to sewing it... I thought of it as a bag.. and sewing the linen fabric to the focus fabric was no apple pie....

Ho voluto il nastrino lungo per poterlo comodamente portare al collo...dato che con le mani sarò impegnata ad usare non una ma ben due stampelle... e mi vedo già malissimo...almeno evito di far cadere il telefono chissà dove...

I opted for a  the long strap to be able to carry it with me ... I will need to use my hands with two crutches... so no free hands for a cell phone I would risk to drop who knows where...

This was I'll always have it at my neck! :D

ho anche applicato i bottoni a pressione... una faticaccia.. e ho rotto la pinza....

sì, va bene, è stata un po' un'odissea... però...

I used some snap buttons... broke the tool to fix them into the fabric..

ok, this was all a bit messy...but

adesso ho il mio porta cellulare personale...

con un po' di difetti, per carità...

now I have my own customized cell phone case...

lots of troubles with it..but hey...

io gongolo lo stesso!!!!

Intanto, per il mio ritorno ho preparato una serie di ricami che mi terranno compagnia, oltre ai sal a cui sto partecipando...
I am so very pleased!
In the meantime... I got some cross stitch patterns waiting for my return...
These will keep me busy  together with the few Sal's I am joining to...

after upgrading to google+ I became a no reply blogger as well.. and I had no idea about it until someone made me notice!

io mi sto riposando.... e... finalmente mi hanno chiamata per l'operazione al ginocchio! mi opereranno lunedì 13!!!!

Da un lato non vedo l'ora... così potrò finalmente inziare a migliorare.. .dall'altra inizio ad avere un pochino di ansia...

ma sì, dai non ci voglio pensare!!!!

Come sapete sono in ferie....

oggi ne approfitto per fare due commissioni e per fare qualche piccolo lavoretto.....:)

la mia macchina per cucire sta lavorando a tutto andare!!!!

I am chilling.... and I finally got knee surgery scheduled!! that is happening next monday, May  113th... I can't wait, so things will finally start getting better.. on the other hand... I start freaking out a bit...

I don't want to think about it!

As you know.. I'm off from work....

Today I have a few things to get sorted and I want to craft a bit, too...

My sewing machine is being stressed these days! LOL

Today I want to share what we did at the Val D'Aosta scrapbooking meeting on sunday....

Il progetto della giornata era della bravissima Stefania... un progetto semplice, ma originale allo stesso tempo! e finalmente... Sono riuscita a creare qualcosa di clean and simple!!!!!

The project of the day was Stefania's... a simple project, yet pretty original! I finally managed to get something clean and simple done!

certo, devo dire che resistere alla tentazione di sporcare tutti i bordi è stato davvero difficile....

you know... being strong enough not to distress all edges was pretty tough!

ma alla fine ce l'ho fatta.....

but I eventually made it!

e devo dire che il risultato mi piace davvero tantissimo!!!!

Io ho cercato di riposarmi: il ginocchio mi fa parecchio male... e se cerco di fare più del solito poi sono dolori....
Dato che sono a casa in ferie.... ne approfitto per produrre per il famoso mercatino di fine anno... mi porto avanti come sempre! sto cucendo tantissimo! hee hee
ma per ora non vi posso ancora mostrare nulla perché sono tutti lavori in progress... Metto in cantiere per rifinire quando sarò poi costretta sul divano per un mese!!!! :)

I tried to relax a bit... my knee is aching  like hell....
Considering I'm off from work.. I am sewing a lot for the hobby fair market I will attend at the end of the year... working a lot ahead! lol
I can't show you anything now as I am putting everything away to be finished once I'll be forced on the sofa for a Whole month.....
While trying to declutter my old pictures
