non ho trovato le candeline così piccole... quindi ho riempito la scatolina con dei confetti che sicuramente Sara apprezza molto! :D

so I filled it with some candies I know Sara will appreciate a lot!

I picked some pastel colors...sometimes I need to get away from my brown nuances..

Ed ecco la piccola Tilda... ho usato la tecnica del paper piecing per il vestitino che è ritagliato dalla stessa carta che fa da base alla card...

BATTESIMO IN ROSA-CHRISTENING IN PINK

come state?

E' lunedì, però qui c'è un bel sole, temperatura mite, quasi caldo nel pomeriggio...

non so, queste anomale giornate d'autunno mi mettono di buon umore!

Al lavoro nuovo va tutto bene...insomma,cosa chiedere di più??? hee hee

Mi sto dilettando con il punto croce ultimamente con tutti i sal a cui partecipo...le sere sono quasi sempre dedicate al ricamo... che bel modo di rilassarsi!!!! :D

Il matrimonio di sabato è andato benissimo: è stato molto emozionante vedere la mia compagna di banco del liceo, amica da 20 anni, andare verso l'altare...ovviamente ho speso diverse lacrimucce!!!! hee hee

Ma passiamo al post di oggi...

Qualche tempo fa una mia amica mi ha chiesto una card per il battesimo di una bimba....

Avevo visto in rete diverse tri fold card... e allora ho pensato di farne una....

how are you doing?

It's monday, but it was pretty sunny and mildly warm here... almost hot in the afternoon... I  don't know, but this weird fall days put me in a great mood!

Everything is fine at work... what more could I wish for?LOL

I am enjoying cross stitching lately, entering different sal's and I am getting used to stitching in the evening which I find very relaxing!

The wedding I attended on saturday was lovely: it was so touching to see my old high school friend, who's been a friend for 20 years, walking to the altar.. I couldn't help sheding a few tears....

Let's move to today's topic, though....

A friend asked me to make a card for a christening... I had been meaning to make a tri-fold card for a while, so I thought it was about time!

Chiedo perdono per le foto.... la luce, come spesso capita, quando ovviamente creo, nei weekend è tremenda....

I apologize for the terrible light... but it always seems to be rainy and dark when I craft at weekends..... ....

Eccola qui chiusa... che ne dite? amo molto queste carte... e devo dire che questa volta sono anche soddisfatta di come mi è riuscita la colorazione.... Ho ancora tanta strada da fare... ma mi vedo migliorata.. e meno male che me lo dico da sola! hee hee

Here's the closed card...what do you think? I just love this patterned paper... I must say I am also pleased with how I colored it ...  I know I still have a long way to go when it comes to coloring, but I can see some improvements... Yeah, I compliment on myself! lol

La carta è glitterata... è bello  l'effetto, vero?

The paper is sparkling...lovely effect, isnt' it?

Le farfalline mi sembravano entrare in pieno nel tema e anche qualche piccolo brad per delimitare i 4 angoli della card!

Butterflies fit immediately in and even some brads to enhance the 4 corners were just perfect!

Un messaggio molto semplice, sempre in viola!

a simple message: congratulations for your christening!

Ultimamente amo molto il contrasto tra i toni del rosa-viola con il marrone....

il marrone insomma deve esserci!!!!

Lately I just love the contrast between pink and violet shades and brown...

brown nuances just have to be there... no way I can do without them!!!!

Secondo me ci stanno proprio bene!

They just look so good together!

Il bottone non poteva essere che in tinta...

Obviously beige button! :D

E questa è la card vista dall'alto: è molto carina! credo che la rifarò spesso!

UNA TELA PER UN MATRIMONIO.... CANVAS FOR A WEDDING

Come state? è finalmente sabato...ed io sarò in giro per commissioni la mattina e ...ad un matrimonio il pomeriggio!
Oggi si sposa la mia amica Alessandra... mia compagna di banco per tutti e cinque gli anni del liceo e grandissima amica....
Che emozione!!!!

Volevo qualcosa di originale come biglietto e allora mi sono data a qualcosa di più complesso....

It's finally saturday and I'll be busy in the morning and ... invited to a wedding in the afternoon.....
Today my high school friend ( we sat next to each other for 5 years....) and huge friend Alessandra is getting married... I am so excited!!!
I wanted something new as a card and I opted for something a little more elaborated....

A cavas.. here's what I came up with

I am so very happy with how it turned out...what do you think?

Il drappeggio, che a me  piace tantissimo, è stato realizzato con della stoffa che ho indurito con una prodotto apposito....

il risultato è incredibile! :D

The drapery was made with fabric which was  hardened (stone-like) with a specific product...

The result is stunning...don't you think?

Basta modellarla con le mani una volta inumidita con il prodotto, e la stoffa assume la consistenza durissima quasi delle pietra....

io poi l'ho colorata con un po' di inchiostro tamponato nei punti di rilievo....

non è stupenda?

You just have to give it the shape you want once you have dipped the fabric into the product and it will harden like stone. I distressed the high points with some tampons... doesn't it look good?

Un fiorellino molto delicato mi sembrava che fosse perfetto....

A delicate littel flower... i thought it would be perfect.

Il tocco della ceralacca in questo caso proprio non poteva mancare, no?

Li ho fatti sedere sulla panchina che ho allungato con la tecnica del masking... è stata una faticaccia ma sono molto contenta del risultato!

Alle loro spalle il magnifico arco Magnolia e l'orologio Tim Holtz che segna le ore 4... l'ora del matrimonio...

eh sì, mi sentivo proprio in vena di romanticismo! :D

Let's come to the 2 beautiful bride and broom by Magnolia.... I had them seating on the bench and I had to enlarge it with the masking tecnique.... it was pretty difficult and I had to try several times before having a decent result... but I am please with it now!

ON their back I put the lovely rose arch by Magnolia and the Tim Holtz clock froze at 4 which is the time of the wedding...

Yeah, I got pretty romantic, really couldn't help it!!!

The saying is just the traditional wedding vow that didn't  need anything else to be perfect!

Sono molto soddisfatta di come è venuta questa tela...certo, è stato complicato lavorare,  per creare la card,  in uno spazio non regolare, a causa del drappeggio, però ritengo che sia venuta bene! :D

I am very pleased with it.... sure it was hard to work, for the card making part, on a non regular portion of canvas due to the precence of the drapery, but I believe this turned out quite pretty! :D

E questo è quanto... che ne dite?

I took a basic class at Perline per HObby here in Rivoli.

I guess I can say it went well...

Abbiamo usato delle filigrane d'argento, l'effetto è molto carino! mi piace tanto!

We used some silver filigrees, and I love the touch it gives to the jewesl!

Mi sono divertita un sacco e ho fatto anche il corso avanzato che vi mostrerò più avanti.

NOn son certo all'altezza di tante bravissime blogger che vedo e seguo regolarmente...

ma mi piace l'idea di poter pasticciare da me se trovo delle pietre che mi piacciono! poi sono maniaca delle collane e degli orecchini, quindi... niente di meglio che farsele!

com'è andato il vostro lunedì???

Io ho iniziato oggi il nuovo lavoro e per ora il bilancio è assolutamente positivo! :D Speriamo continui così!!!!

Avevo un po' d'ansia... io non amo particolarmente i cambiamenti: li elaboro male, e due lavori in due mesi hanno messo a dura prova le mie capacità di sopportazione!!!!

Allora, di cosa vi posso parlare oggi??

Hello!!! how was your monday???

I started my new job today and I must say it went pretty well! Let's still keep our fingers crossed, though!

I was a bit anxious about it.... I am not particularly fond of changes.... I have a hard time coping with them and changing 2 jobs in 2 months was way too much for me to bear, really!!!

FERMAPORTA.... DOOR STOPPER

Come state? io mi sono goduta qualche giorno di ozio, creatività e commissioni!Insomma, mi è piovuta dal cielo quasi una settimana di vancanza! Lunedì inizierò  il nuovo lavoro! tenete le dita incrociate per me! :D

qualche tempo fa ho comprato un delizioso fermaporta in un negozio pieno di creazioni shabby...

me ne sono innamorata a tal punto che ho deciso di provare a riprodurlo....

a little while ago I bought a lovely doorstopper in a store filled with shabby creations...

I fell in love with it so much that I thought I might wanna give a try to copy it...

It was pretty simply, so I thought it could be something in my league...

Non poteva mancare un bel fiorellone tagliato con la big shot ed un bottone in legno che sembra nato per essere messo lì...

No way I could avoid a lovely flower cut with Big Shot Machine...and a wooden button that might be born exactly to be placed in there..

Come vedete è davvero un modello molto semplice...

l'ho ridisegnato in un attimo!

As you can clearly see, it was a really simple patter, it took me a couple of minutes to draw it!
